If we are, it was probably well under way before same-sex marriage. And if the institution of marriage is failing, it was failing long before we allowed people of the same sex to marry.

I know several same-sex couples who have married, and they bring nothing but honor to the institution. To them, it is a precious right and an awesome responsibility. It is a life long dream, unrealized, but now fulfilled. They don't get married because they have to get married. They get married because they want to get married. I know some straight couples who have taken people that they know who are in same-sex marriages as a model for their own marriages.

This website discusses the differences between Hebrew culture and Western or Greek culture. https://www.ancient-hebrew.org/language/philosophy-of-the-hebrew-language.htm

The Hebrew language and culture is very concrete. It emphasizes function over form, and function over abstract terminology. In other words, two objects which appear dissimilar to the Western mind, may correspond to the same word in Hebrew, because they share similar functions or attributes.

If God thinks from a Hebrew point of view, could it be that when He looks down upon a couple, is He more concerned that it LOOKS like a marriage, or that it WORKS like a marriage? If marriage is a vessel, then God can pour His love into it, whether it be a tin cup or a silver chalice.
John Cranehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00382934036319968108noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8985858969287915197.post-34473571171391623492015-09-09T01:01:23.038-06:002015-09-09T01:01:23.038-06:00I am glad to see others waking up.
