From the picture you see it’s my habit to put a chair out for the Savior, it help me to see with my minds eye what I pray will come soon.

Anyway, after I was done writing, I set the notebook down on the chair that I had set for Jesus. At that very moment, I heard in my mind and heart “Excuse me, I’m sitting here!” I grabbed the book to remove it and began to laugh and I heard him laughing too.

He loves me!! He loves me!!

I’m his friend and he was joking with me.

I would never think to post this or even try to put a picture in, but Yeshua said I should post this right now, so I am, and he has blessed me to do what I did not know I could do.

I love him so much!

(You can see the chair here: https://bit.ly/3nTxiA9)LDS Perfect Dayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10342702352918423162noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8985858969287915197.post-37427011458071011942020-11-23T11:49:53.672-07:002020-11-23T11:49:53.672-07:00Terrific thoughts! It's not our place to co-opt the Lord and tell people about what's been revealed to ourselves.
But there's nothing wrong, IMHO, in telling people that yes, God DOES reveal His mysteries to those who love and seek Him. There's nothing wrong with saying that the Gift of Healing or Gift of Ministering Angels IS still alive and well. In doing so, we keep those gifts alive, not relegated to the stuff of myth or fiction.
The only exception I see is like you said -- "They selected that which the Lord told them to select and they shared it fearlessly" and "all of them only shared what they were allowed to and nothing more" -- Of course that presupposes that you hear Him, and hear Him well. That was one of the main points in this "Best Friend" series.
"So there seems to me to be a balance that must be struck in our zeal to share personal experiences, that balance being obedience to the will of the Lord." Yes but I think we also need to flip-flop our starting point. Right now I see a lot of "I don't wanna share / I shouldn't share," and that's not right.

*** The Lord wants us to start on the "I wanna share / I should share" base, then He will direct us in WHAT to share. ***

"But, on the whole, unbelief is totally holding us back collectively, which I see." My post on unbelief isn't written at all yet, but it's coming. Let's just say MANY "saints" better wake up, smell the..."postum" and repent for our unbelief about gifts and miracles. The days are fast coming when many may soon find themselves needing a miracle and won't get it when they need it. Once (swiftly) on the other side, they'll know they did it to themselves, but it'll be "everlastingly too late".LDS Perfect Dayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10342702352918423162noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8985858969287915197.post-18627540667746021752020-11-23T07:51:17.754-07:002020-11-23T07:51:17.754-07:00Just curious on your thoughts surrounding the scop...Just curious on your thoughts surrounding the scope of:

"It is given unto many to know the mysteries of God; nevertheless they are laid under a strict command that they shall not impart only according to the portion of his word which he doth grant unto the children of men, according to the heed and diligence which they give unto him."

I've read many competing thoughts on this. And well I understand what you are saying about "too sacred to share," I most often hear your argument used as criticism of another believer. That just because they don't blast it all over the internets, they must not be receiving anything. When, I know from personal experience, these things are shared, but in private with those who are ready to receive and treasure up, under the direction of the Spirit. The scriptures tell us to talk of Christ, preach of Christ, etc, but we also seem to add to that by saying share everything we've ever personally received because God gave it so "I" (there's that entitlement pronoun again) deserve to hear it as well. I've read many of the authors you have mentioned. But as I've read them, I've seen the depth of reverence they have to what they personally received and also carefully selected what to share with the world. They selected that which the Lord told them to select and they shared it fearlessly. This happens over and over in the scriptures where the Lord stops the utterance of the prophets because the people aren't ready...and they obeyed, even though it was really difficult for them to hold back because they knew so much and were given so much. Yet, their invitation is to go the mountain ourselves. So although, none used the phrase "too sacred to share," all of them only shared what they were allowed to and nothing more. So there seems to me to be a balance that must be struck in our zeal to share personal experiences, that balance being obedience to the will of the Lord. I think we see both extremes, over-sharing and under-sharing. Both are damning. I personally have been corrected for holding things back. I also feel like I've been chastised for sharing too much I think. But, on the whole, unbelief is totally holding us back collectively, which I see.

Anyways, interested in your thoughts.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07791972382331252715noreply@blogger.com
