Powerful! Thank you for sharing this insight. I feel like I keep getting so much from your blog. I have read and reread over and over the Unblog and feel prompted that I need to do the same here. Maybe it is because my memory hasn't always proven that great (the gospel is all about remembering!) so I keep discovering or rediscovering things I didn't get or see the first time. Very much appreciated!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10044330976889577191noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8985858969287915197.post-66459326656212128962015-12-28T21:20:17.488-07:002015-12-28T21:20:17.488-07:00"IS this practice of posture worship only app..."IS this practice of posture worship only applicable in a personal and private setting?"

Good question. This type of interaction with God is so intimite, so personal, that (IMHO) it is best done in a personal manner. However, I do not discount the possibility that it may be done, at some point in the future, on a group basis and with the consent of God.

"With at least one of the world religions practicing this 3 times a day, it is curious that the general populous of the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ seems to have lost the symbolism and abolished the practice. Why?"

The practice of praying three times a day is found in:

* Daniel 6:10: "Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime."

* Psalms 55:17: "Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice."

* Alma 34:21: "Cry unto him in your houses, yea, over all your household, both morning, mid-day, and evening."

It seems pretty straightforward to me that God prefers us to knock on the doors of heaven three times a day. I'd even go so far as to say He's even more passionate about those who have been endowed doing so.

Why don't we? Only God can say accurately. I'm sure there are different reasons for different people. IMHO, the most probable explanation is that we've prioritized other things as higher in importance.

Sadly, but honestly, you can add me as one of those who have. The Perfect Daynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8985858969287915197.post-62875489089656389772015-12-28T21:19:22.100-07:002015-12-28T21:19:22.100-07:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator. The Perfect Daynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8985858969287915197.post-1982749876604005702015-12-28T20:39:32.821-07:002015-12-28T20:39:32.821-07:00IS this practice of posture worship only applicabl...IS this practice of posture worship only applicable in a personal and private setting?
